🏠 / STARTING THE GAME / PLAYING THE GAME / GAME OVER

Now, we're playing the game.

Playing a game of League of Legends is a thrilling and challenging experience. It requires skill, strategy, and teamwork to succeed. As you play, you must constantly adapt and learn, reacting to the changing circumstances of the game and working together with your teammates to achieve victory.

In my research on League of Legends, I faced a similar set of challenges. I had to collect and analyze data, develop a clear and concise argument, and incorporate evidence from a range of sources. As I worked on the project, I encountered a number of obstacles and setbacks, but I persevered and continued to learn and grow.

To help me overcome these challenges, I completed two important assignments: the Research Log and the Literature Review. The Research Log Attached🔗 is a detailed record of the sources I used in my research, including their relevance, credibility, and usefulness. Conducting research is often a circular process, where initial search strategies evolve into revised strategies and research steps must be retraced. The Research Log helped me to keep track of the information I gathered, and to identify gaps in my knowledge and areas where I needed to conduct further research. It also allowed me to organize my sources and to clearly see the progress of my research.

The Literature Review Attached🔗 is a synthesis of the sources I used, grouping them by main points and claims, and comparing their relevant arguments. It is an essential part of any research paper, as it helps to understand the current state of knowledge on a given topic. A Literature Review describes what is considered known and unknown about a given issue, recounting the "conversation" of past and current researchers. It synthesizes the arguments that have already taken place, and creates a space or a "niche" for the current writer to make an argument and enter the conversation. The Literature Review assignment is a step up in complexity from the Research Log, as it requires the synthesis and comparison of multiple sources. I found it to be a challenging but rewarding assignment, as it helped me to develop a clear and well-supported argument for my research paper.

To meet the learning outcome of information literacy, I carefully evaluated and acted on criteria for relevance, credibility, and ethics when gathering, analyzing, and presenting primary and secondary source materials in my Research Log and Literature Review. In my Research Log, I recorded the details of each source I used, including its relevance, credibility, and usefulness. This allowed me to keep track of my sources and to ensure that I was using high-quality information in my research. In my Literature Review, I synthesized and compared the sources I used, grouping them by main points and claims. This helped me to develop a clear and well-supported argument for my research paper, and to present my findings in a credible and ethical manner. Additionally, in my discussion posts Attached🔗, I discussed the criteria I used to evaluate the credibility of my sources and the importance of ethical research practices. Overall, I believe I successfully met this learning outcome by evaluating and acting on criteria for relevance, credibility, and ethics in my research. Now that we've talked about playing the game, it's time to finish it.
