Finally, our game is over.
Great job, the ePortfolio is coming to an end and we've emerged victorious in our figurative League of Legends game! It's been an exciting and rewarding journey working on our portfolio, and we've come a long way since the beginning of the class. We've learned so much about research, writing, and critical thinking, and we've had the opportunity to apply these skills to our passion for the game.
In many ways, this experience is similar to writing our final project, the League of Legends research paper. Just like in the game, we've had to overcome obstacles and challenges to craft a paper that truly reflects our knowledge and understanding of the game. It's been a long and difficult journey, but we've come out on top, just like in the game. We're excited to share our findings with others and continue to learn and grow as researchers and gamers.
Attached🔗 is my final research paper on League of Legends, which delves into the various aspects of the game, including its history, gameplay mechanics, and competitive scene. I've drawn upon a variety of sources, including scholarly articles, interviews with fellow students, and my own experience as an avid gamer. My paper provides a thorough and nuanced understanding of League of Legends, and I'm proud of the work I've put into it.
My final research paper meets the learning outcome of Research Genre Production because it shows my ability to use the conventions of a research genre in order to effectively communicate my research to a specific community. Throughout the semester, I have composed various pieces of writing within research genres that provide a framework for organizing and presenting my findings. By following these rules and guidelines, I was able to effectively communicate my research on the game League of Legends and contribute to the existing body of knowledge on this subject. This demonstrates my ability to navigate the choices and constraints of a research genre in order to produce writing that matters to a specific community.
In addition, my final research paper also meets the learning outcome of Revision because I took into consideration the feedback I received from peers and instructors throughout the writing process. I engaged in the revision process by carefully considering the comments and suggestions made by my peers during peer review, and by incorporating this feedback into my final draft. This allowed me to improve the clarity and coherence of my paper, and to ensure that my research was well-supported and well-communicated.
Finally, since it's also from the end of the class, the discussions in which we peer reviewed each other's final projects Attached🔗 also helped me to meet the learning outcome of multiple ways of writing. In this discussion, I was able to carefully review and evaluate my peers' final research papers, and provide them with feedback on how to improve their writing. This allowed me to develop a deeper understanding of the conventions of the research genre and to see how others have applied them in their own work. Additionally, the discussion provided me with an opportunity to apply the feedback I received from my peers to my own final research paper. This helped me to integrate multimodality, multiple languages, and/or multiliteracies into my writing in order to support my goals. Overall, I believe that the peer review discussion was an important part of the revision process, and helped me to successfully meet this learning outcome.
In conclusion, this ePortfolio is a comprehensive collection of the work I have produced throughout the semester in the ENC 1102 class. It is organized into three main sections, each representing a different stage of the research process: Starting the Game, Playing the Game, and Game Over. The Starting the Game section includes evidence of my initial research and exploration of the topic, including the sources I used and the questions I sought to answer. The Playing the Game section includes the development of my research, including the data I collected and the analysis I conducted. Finally, the Game Over section includes the final version of my research paper, along with a reflection on my experience conducting research and presenting my findings. Overall, this ePortfolio showcases my skills and progress as a researcher, and I am proud of the work I have produced.
